Lake Havasu Boat Show
For the 34th year the Lake Havasu Marine Association presents the 2025 Lake Havasu Boat Show at Lake Havasu State Park - Windsor #4 in the Arizona State Park, April 18th-20th. The event is sponsored by Anderson Powersports, the premier dealers of PWCs, UTVs and all sorts of fun things in the tristate area. It has become the largest outdoor boat show in the Western United States and features the very top names in boats with many of them manufactured right here, in Lake Havasu City.
All in all you will enjoy over 150 exhibits displaying over $50 million worth of boats, supplies, UTVs, PWCs and much more! Add to that, the food and beverages (including the adult type!), live entertainment on the Radio Central stage, competition in the Lake Havasu Cornhole Championships (see home page to register) and we have the recipe for a fun weekend with the family.

Anderson Powersports Desert Storm & LOTO join forces to create a
National Shootout Championship!
Steve Ticknor, President of the Anderson Powersports Desert Storm, and Leah Martin, Executive Director, Lake of the Ozarks Shootout, announced that a Shootout National Championship is being created by the two largest events in Performance Boating! Changes are being made to
enable teams competing in the Desert Storm Shugrues’ Shootout, Saturday, April 26 on Lake Havasu, AZ to collect points to combine with those to be earned at the Lake of the Ozarks, MO, August 23-24, thus making the inaugural National Shootout Championship Series for
Performance Boating!
To facilitate this, Desert Storm will adopt the competitor classifications currently in use by LOTO to provide compatibility. Along with it, common safety protocols and operational standards will be adopted and implemented by these two major events. This will develop standardization while being proactive in the running and insuring of these high speed, crowd pleasing events. It will give added recognition to the teams that campaign these awesome boats in addition to the local and regional awards they now earn. Other Shootout events may want to join
with Desert Storm and LOTO in the future.
For 2025 the Desert Storm Shootout will launch the Jones Family Cup Awards with a cash purse of $20,000 for contestants! This is generously hosted by long time shootout competitor Tim Jones and his family. Details will be available shortly.

Desert Storm joins the Marines! The Marine Corps League that is....
Anderson Powersports Desert Storm presented by KICKER has chosen the Marine Corps League to become their charity beneficiary for 2024.
Steve Ticknor, president of Desert Storm and DSM Events, announced today that the Lake Havasu City Detachment #757 of the Marine Corps League will be the charity beneficiary of the 2024 Desert Storm Event, the largest Performance Boating function in the western US.
Ticknor, bringing his extensive experience in the community service of our area selected the Marine Corps League to be the recipient of the generous donation this flagship event generates for charity. DSM Events wants to see that money used locally, and the Marine Corps League is not only local, their community service is exemplary with a long list of projects such as Toys for Tots and Meals on Wheels. DSM, Desert Storm and our staff are honored to give a little back via this worthy organization, and to help them with their fine work.
“Norm Carrick is the Commandant (on the left in picture) , and Capt. Richie Sloma (on the right) is Vice Commandant of the Lake Havasu Detachment of the Marine Corps League. I’m proud to say that Capt. Sloma has long served in an active executive position with DSM Events. We are thrilled to support these veterans who continue to serve so unselfishly” Ticknor said.
